A pallet coaster is a drink coaster that looks like a pallet. It can either be purchased on Amazon in sixes or, as seen in the process of making one from scratch in the video below, it can be easily made using things that are usually found in the house; a pair of scissors, 12 popsicle sticks, coffee powder, water, strong glue and a sharpie.
The coffee powder and water that is mixed together and used to add color for the popsicle sticks, however, are optional similar to the sharpie. The popsicle sticks can be left in its original state or other things can be used to add color such as watercolor, spray paint, and washi tape. For example, in the following process, washi tapes are used.
Something to be noted in this process is that only 7 popsicle sticks are used as opposed to 12 popsicle sticks in the earlier one. This is because of a thicker type of sticks used as the base of the coaster. However, a utility knife and sandpaper are needed to work on the thicker sticks as they are not sold in the exact measurements needed for this.
