Heat Conducting Butter Knife That Does Not Work
If necessity is the mother of invention, delay is the father of invention.
An invention that will prove that “delay is the father of invention” is this butter knife which transfers heat from the hand to the blade to make it easier to spread cold butter on a slice of bread. Only someone who has been delayed for the butter to soften up could have thought about this. But of course, there are many other proves such as the microwave, the electric kettle, the clothes dryer, etc.
However, a father does not deserve to be called a father if he does not go to work and provide for the family. And unfortunately, the invention of this butter knife is categorized under one of those fathers. It costs $20 to have it around and according to many people who have used it, it does not work.
